April 2nd Live Music - Condor & The Dead Sonics

About Condor The Band:

The music described above as “garage prog” is often compared to Tool/Primus/Russian Circles/Peter Gabriel, too pretty for metal, too heavy for indie. A brief example of the live show is available at http://ift.tt/1eQbL0M and the EP will be for sale spring 2014.

VHWTF is a nostalgic music video show with game show elements.

Join Mr. Timothy Thomas and Mr. Matt Brown for VHWhatTheFuck! A three-hour tour down MTV Memory Lane enhanced by smart-alecky comments, your teen remembrances, and rock and roll themed prizes!

From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Timothy religiously recorded and preserved nearly 1000 music videos aired on VH1 Classic’s We Are The 80’s and All Request onto 16 DVD volumes. DO NOT QUESTION IT! These volumes are prized for their curation, quality, and diversity - including the famous (Duran Duran), the infamous (Barnes & Barnes), the weird (Alien Sex Fiend), and the jaw dropping (Prince on a 12-minute live mini-epic of “I Would Die For You” with the Revolution and Sheila E).

It feels like the coolest night of MTV ever, and you never know what will be coming next - remember *that* feeling? The videos are in the order of capture, so basically random. BONUS: No ads for Axe Body Spray.

Audience members will be able to participate in a trivia contest based on the videos shown, tell “I remember this video because…” stories, and a chance to win a seat in The Snark Tank with the hosts to savage a specific music video. PLUS Rock and Roll prizes including vintage magazines, books, CDs, and ONE LUCKY WINNER gets a copy of that night’s videos to take home!

Come for an hour or all night! We have Rodney Shrader serving up the drinks and the place is all ours from 7:30 to close! Everyone is welcome, however seating is limited.

The show consists of viewing 45 minutes of music videos from the 80s and 90s( from my personal collection captured from VH1 Classic) with 15 minutes of audience participation – including raffle drawing to select a contestant to be part of The Snark Tank, where we actively make fun of a video, and a trivia contest based on the videos shown in each 45 minute block. Audience members can share memories triggered by the videos if they want. There will also be Rock and Roll themed prizes.

Admission: $7 Door | $5 Presale
